Top of Utah Half Marathon

So today I did the half marathon 13.1 miles. It was fun up till mile 7 then it started sucking. I got new shoes yesterday the Reebock Runtone that work your legs and butt as you walk let me tell not a good idea to work those areas when doing that many miles I hurt so bad by mile 7 and just got worse from there but I pushed through and finished all 13.1 miles in 3 hours and 54 min. pretty cool I think for not even training. I made my goals which where 1. finish the race 2. In under 4 hours and 3. not last. I did it! I couldn't be happier and prouder of myself. There where times I just wanted to sit down and cry because my legs hurt so bad but I just talked to myself, saying things like: Just keep walking, Just keep walking, to the tune of Dora from Finding Nemo, You can do this you never quit don't start now. Bryce and Kaleb are waiting at the finish line for you, only 4 more miles. Bryce promised you could go get a message if you pass the finish line, get your ass moving you can do it it only is hurting because it is making it look good. You haven't done all these miles to stop now when your so close. I said them sporadically through out the last 5 or so miles. Talking your self up really helps. They gave us a shirt thats really nice and a 500 dollar gift card to some sunglass place, still cool. I am so glad I got my new shoes even though they killed my legs but my other ones would of tore my feet up and these didn't. When I figure out where I put my camera I will put the pictures of my at finish line up.
